StopBot is a uniquely simple Max for Live device with one purpose: to stop your Ableton Live set. No need for complicated inter-application communication (IAC) bus setups or other difficult to remember steps. Simply drop Stop Bot on any track and label one or more locators with the word STOPBOT (in upper or lower case). Every time StopBot encounters a locator named STOPBOT in Arrangement View, it will stop Live's transport.

Also works with other locator names STOPALL and AUTOSTOP.

Problem Solver!

I had been looking for an easy way to automate stopping playback on a session. As soon as I saw that this was now available, I purchased it right away and couldn't be happier!!!

Great! Thank you for the review, Anthony!

Does the thing

StopBot does exactly what it’s supposed to do, and is easy to use! I have no complaints about that. One minor gripe I have is that your “forward to next marker” button (or assigned MIDI control) will not advance past the next STOPBOT marker. This shouldn’t create an issue during a show, but is a minor inconvenience while navigating a session in rehearsal. Not a big deal at all, though.
